A framework for implementing a Supplier Kanban System through an action research methodology

Purpose The aim of this study is to develop a framework for the implementation Supplier Kanban System. Design/methodology/approach research was conducted within factory focusing on warehousing and supplier-related operations using an action methodology. Findings period spanning over six years aimed reduce inventory manpower required manage inventory. This initiative led substantial average savings more than 500,000 Malaysian ringgit annually. Research limitations/implications focus implementing System in small or medium-sized company automotive industry. Practical implications designed be self-sufficient such that members organisation can use it without help external experts consultants. Social Reduction stored warehouse, amount redundant work carried out by employees other non-monetary improvements which are difficult monetise resulted much better environment happier employees.
